After a bit of a Customer service nightmare with AT&T, I received a new phone from them. The process started with me trying to get the work discounted applied to my phone, and I had to branch off my old contract and pay a sucky deposit. After that I waited a few bills and tried to get on the the 'company owned phone discount'. I was referred by our somewhat helpful rep at work to go into a store, after some run around between stores, internal emails and phone numbers I got it sorted. In the process, my BlackJack phone was determined to be in need of an upgrade. I wasn't gonna argue, and got the BlackJack II.
The BlackJack II in impressive, it has some tweaks to the OS which make things easier (compared to WM6 on the BlackJack which at times was a nightmare). Overall its looks more shiny, which is a pro and con. It does look nicer, but its now a fingerprint magnet. Also the keyboard layout has been redone, but it looks like it for the better. The phone itself is quicker, due to the double memory and faster processor. The battery life on it seems to have improved as well, the BlackJack needed a 'bigger' and 'smaller' battery, the BJ II battery outlasts the 'bigger' on thus far. Signal also seems to be better at work, but my cube overall still is a dead spot. Or it could be Wiwille sapping the signal, I will never know
I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a smartphone, but still wants something simple. And if you don't feel like becoming an iTool.
